Doing this in Fiji

Why KYC matters here.

Professional firms in Fiji have clear obligations under the anti-money laundering framework. Getting them right protects you as well as us.

01

AML/CFT obligations

Fiji's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing rules, overseen by the Financial Intelligence Unit, require identity verification before acting for a client.

02

Beneficial ownership

For companies and trusts, the people who ultimately own or control the entity must be identified, not just the directors on the register.

03

Higher-risk situations

Some sectors, structures or sources of funds call for enhanced due diligence, including source-of-funds review and sanctions screening.

Questions

KYC & compliance FAQs.

Why do you need my identification documents?

Fiji's anti-money laundering rules require professional firms to verify the identity of their clients and the beneficial owners behind them before acting. Onboarding usually takes 5–10 working days once documents are provided.

What is enhanced due diligence?

A deeper review for higher-risk situations: background and source-of-funds checks, adverse media and sanctions screening, and a documented report for the client file. It typically takes 2–3 weeks.

What does an entity health check cover?

We review your statutory records and filings, identify regulatory gaps and give you a recommended remediation roadmap — typically over 2–3 weeks.
